Rex, Sox, Molly, and Floss

Rex, Sox ,Molly, and Floss are 6-week-old male and female shepherd crosses.

Update: Floss has been rehomed.

At the moment, they are in the care of a loving foster family in Basingstoke, but they won’t be ready for adoption until they reach 10 weeks of age.

The prospective adopters should be experienced dog owners, particularly knowledgeable about the Shepherd breed, as these puppies are expected to be high-energy and require stimulating activities.

Intelligence is a notable trait in them, making ongoing training and socialization essential.

These adorable puppies, Rex, Sox, Molly, and Floss, are known to be dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and child-friendly, making them suitable for households with other animals or as the only pets.

However, families with children under the age of 8 years are not eligible for adoption, according to the rescue’s policy. Ideally, a home with older children, preferably aged 12 years or above, is recommended due to the energetic nature of the pups.

Sox, one of the puppies, displays a bit more neediness and requires additional reassurance, particularly in managing separation anxiety. Prospective owners are advised to be mindful of this aspect and provide the necessary support.

The rescue organization follows a thorough adoption process, which includes compulsory vaccination, flea and worm treatment, microchipping, and being duly registered.

A neuter voucher will also be provided, with a requirement to be redeemed at the appropriate age. Proof of booking for puppy classes may be requested before adoption, aligning with the rescue’s commitment to responsible ownership.

A compulsory adoption donation fee is applicable, and the rescue encourages the provision of a fully enclosed and secure garden with a minimum 5ft fence.

While the rescue organization is open to considering applicants who work full time, evidence of suitable care arrangements for the dog during working hours is necessary.

In summary, Rex, Sox, Molly, and Floss are delightful puppies awaiting their forever homes, and potential adopters in Basingstoke or nearby areas should consider these guidelines for a successful adoption process.
