Sookie is a sweet, shy and simply adorable seven-year-old (estimated DOB 07/05/2014) female Cross-Breed who was rescued from a Thai government facility and currently lives at the Soi Dog Foundation shelter in Phuket.
When Sookie arrived at Soi Dog, she was suffering from severe glaucoma. Sadly, the damage was irreversible, and she was in a great deal of pain, so removing her eyes was the only option.
However, she’s adapted well and learnt plenty of inventive ways to communicate how she feels. A tilt of her head means she’s curious. A big smile lets you know she’s happy in your company.
An outstretched nose says she’s hungry for a treat. And her tail between her legs means she’s somewhere unfamiliar and could do with some reassurance.
Sookie has experienced a great deal in her seven years, and she’s now ready for the biggest and best experience of all: life in a home! She would benefit from a quiet home with an experienced adopter who can offer her patience as she gets used to the sounds and smells of her new surrounds.
If you tick these boxes, please get in touch. Sookie will be forever grateful.
