Dottie is a 1 year old female Cross-Breed.
She is vaccinated, Blood tested for disease, spayed, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Why is Dottie in shelter: Dottie currently resides in a shelter located in Romania after she was abandoned in a cemetery with her siblings. She was just a tiny baby then but now she is a big girl and is more than ready to spread her wings and find an understanding family.
Personality: Dottie is the most shy out of the siblings with unfamiliar people With her carers Dottie is very loving and sweet. Dottie enjoys walks and is totally lead trained.
A few nights ago there was a storm in the area and Dottie was afraid of this. In situations she finds uncomfortable, she will need support and reassurance.
Home needs: Dottie needs an understanding, dog-experienced home who will not rush her into any situations she could find overwhelming. It’s imperative that steps are taken slowly to gain her trust whilst she adjusts to a new way of living.
Dottie has never lived in a home and will need support from her new family with toilet training and time to adjust to a home environment and all the unknown items we have in our houses.
Health: Sadly like her siblings Dottie contracted distemper when she was little, thankfully she was treated with supportive care and survived. She doesn’t have any neurological problems but her teeth were affected due to the distemper.
They don’t affect her in any way and she is eating without problem but they will need monitoring as she gets older. Dottie is now blood tested and clear.
