Things The Most Financially Responsible People Do Daily

They go over their credit card transactions:

One thing that is important to do daily is look over your credit card transactions. If you are like me and put everything on a card and then pay it off each month depending on the day there can be a lot of transactions. But to be safe with your credit you want to look over these daily. This is a good way to make sure you don’t encounter any credit card fraud. Another way to do this is to set up alerts on your card. Any time any of my cards are used for a transaction I get an email. This way if there are transactions you are unaware of you know immediately and can figure out what to do.

They stick to budgets:

Sticking to budgets is so important! The more you stick to your budget the more money you can save and put towards debts. The most financially responsible people stick to their budgets. Regardless of how much they make, they make sure they are staying on track with budgeting and are aware of what they are spending daily. I have a BIG post coming up about this next week so be on the lookout! We personally use You Need A Budget.

They don’t spend money willy nilly:

By this I mean they don’t aimlessly shop online, or wander into stores and buy whatever. They think about their spending and financial decisions and don’t make rash decisions when it comes to money.

They make their own food/coffee:

This is the BIGGEST money suck. You may think $4 here and $8 here is nothing but it adds up. For example, if you buy a $5 coffee every morning that’s $35 a week, $140 a month, and over $1800 A YEAR! Just on coffee. Back in February, I bought a Nespresso and only make my coffee at home now and it’s saved SO MUCH MONEY and also time.

They are always learning:

A great way to do this is by listening to financial podcasts or maybe reading an article each day on finances. I love to subscribe to financial news and podcasts just to keep me informed. I think continually learning is so easy now with technology so there’s really no excuse to not do it.

They keep an eye on their credit score:

Financially responsible people keep an eye on their credit and make sure that they don’t have misinformation, derogatory remarks, etc. They do this to keep their credit score up and to also make sure they are staying on top of everything.

I talked to some of the most financially responsible people I know and truly these were the habits they do daily.

What is the most financially responsible thing you do every day?
