It’s easy to team up with a friend for a game of Fortnite, even if they use a different type of platform—a computer, console, or mobile device—than you. Using the Party Finder option on the main menu, you can ‘cross-play’ by searching for your Epic Friends on other devices. To do this, you must have an Epic Games account!

In Battle Royale, you select between three main gameplay modes. Check them all out, as they focus on different gameplay aspects and offer varying levels of difficulty
Solo
In Solo mode, you’ll single-handedly take on 99 foes, all of whom are out to eliminate you and win. To survive, you’ll need to loot, build and take out your enemies before they get you in their crosshairs!
Duos
Fancy teaming up with a partner? In Duos mode, you can join forces with a pal and work together to eliminate the opposition. Plus, a partner can also revive you if you’re wounded.
Squads
If you want to be part of a large team, choose Squads mode. You can split into sub-teams to take control of different areas, or stay together in one unit. This is probably Fortnite’s most popular mode.
