The next Amazon Prime Day could arrive as early as June this year after all as a previous report from Recode suggests. Amazon Prime Day 2021 will mark the online retail giant’s seventh annual celebratory shopping event.
Earlier this year, Amazon’s earnings report spills the beans about Prime Day 2021’s date — sort of.
“Members have exclusive access to deals every day and especially during Prime Day, which will take place later in the second quarter,” Amazon said in a news release. Since this year’s second quarter ends on June 30, it suggests Prime Day 2021 will occur during that month.
This news about Prime Day 2021 tentatively taking place in June arrives on the heels of Kiplinger’s purported leak claiming Prime Day would return in July. Amazon has made no official Prime Day date announcement yet, so it still remains a mystery.
Historically, Prime Day is held in July to celebrate Amazon’s July 5, 1994 founding date. Prime Day 2020 is the only exception to tradition.
