Kain is a 5 year old male Cross-Breed. He is neutered and medium sized Cross-Breed (shoulder height: 47 cm, weight: 22 kg). He was dumped with his suspected brother and was rescued from the streets of Hungary in February 2017. He spent the last 4 years in a shelter, unwanted by anyone, as so many of his doggie mates.
Kain is a beautiful soul who deserves a happy life after all he’s been through. He was very timid when he arrived at the shelter but he’s improved a lot and he is now very kind and playful with the people he knows. He is a special dog in that he can still be a bit aloof with strangers and wary of men, but at the same time he completed the Hard Dog Race, a 12 km obstacle course on difficult terrain accompanying one of the shelter staff and he was excellent, cooperating beautifully all through the race!
He gets on well with his shelter mates and is playful around them. He is not taken on regular walks and it will be down to his new family to get him used to daily walks on and off the lead.
Kain would be best suited for a family without children where he is not left alone for long periods and he can spend lots of time with his humans. His future family will need to give him time to settle in his new home and continue his socialization and training. He could live with a friendly, well balanced dog, but he could also be happy as the only dog in the household.
Experience with rescue dogs essential. No first time owners please. As all rescue dogs, he will need love, patience, time and commitment from his adopting family to become a happy and well behaved doggie.
Kain is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for him. He comes fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee. Full RBU provided.
