10 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Pointer available for adoption

Luna is a 10 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Pointer. She is unfortunately arrived into a world where no one wanted her when an irresponsible owner failed to get their dog neutered. Most of the litter were rehomed locally, but two of the pups, Vinny and Luna, are without any interest. We’ve now teamed up with the rescue the pups are under to help give them the extra push they need to try and find their forever homes.

Luna is around 25kg and needs an active family who enjoy being outdoors. She won’t have any trouble keeping up with an energetic lifestyle and would love the opportunity to run and explore in the countryside. She’s a confident, sociable and affectionate girl who trusts humans and enjoys being in their company.

She would be a great addition to a household who are keen to find an adventure partner. Luna has been great with other dogs since birth and was previously in a foster home for six months with a male Pitbull, who she got along really well with. Generally, this breed type are best with dogs of the opposite sex, but Luna has never behaved adversely towards any other dogs.

She has not been tested with cats so we’re looking for a home without them, but she has lived alongside children before (newborn), so we feel confident she can be adopted into a family with kids. The toddler age tends to be the most difficult age bracket for kids to be around dogs as they’re learning boundaries and their noise and movements can be unpredictable, so we suggest a home with children aged 6+, unless they’ve grown up around dogs previously.

Luna’s ideal home would be based outside of the city, providing her with plenty of opportunities to explore green spaces. She loves his walks and is great on the lead, but she also needs a home with access to a secure garden so she can go outside and play, snuffle about in the grass or potter about whenever she fancies.

She’s an intelligent girl and learns new things quickly, so she would do really well with some basic training. She would also enjoy opportunities to go on long walks which allow her to scent and follow her nose, or higher energy activities such as canicross or trail running. Luna is a brilliant young dog with so much potential, so we’d love to see her get the opportunity she deserves. Luna is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
